Public Space Protection Orders (PSPO)

The Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 came into effect in 2014.

One of the powers within this Act is Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs). These prevent individuals or groups committing anti-social behaviour in a public space.

PSPOs can include multiple restrictions and requirements, and can prohibit a number of activities.

The power to make, replace or update existing public space restrictions falls to us, in consultation with Police and other relevant organisations.

The existing orders will expire in October 2017. We’d like your views to help shape what our PSPOs should include.

The consultation for this has ended and we will be updating this shortly with the outcomes .
