Be mindful

  • Keep the noise down – respect neighbours and residents living nearby.
  • Be considerate of businesses and property.

Be respectful

  • Respect other people enjoying their night out.
  • Respect those working to keep your evening safe and enjoyable.

Be safe

  • Plan ahead – how will you get home? With who? Have a contingency plan in case you get split up from the rest of your group.
  • Keep valuables, such as mobiles and cameras, hidden in a secure bag or zipped pocket, and keep them away from sinks or toilets.
  • If you will be drinking alcohol, be careful not to let it affect your judgment or your ability to take care of yourself.
  • Where possible, arrange for at least one of your group to be the designated driver, in order to ensure nobody is put in any danger.
  • Keep an eye on your drinks and food at all times. If something tastes odd, leave it.

  • Put any litter in the correct bin.
  • Put out your cigarettes at bins or appropriate receptacles – failure to do so could incur a fine.
  • Glasses and bottles must be disposed of before entering any premises.
  • Use available facilities before leaving premises.

Enjoy yourself!

The city and surrounding district have so much to offer, from theatres and restaurants to pubs and clubs. Follow our advice and make the most of your night out.
